Virtual Fieldtrip
Definition
A virtual fieldtrip (VFT) is a simulated field trip available online that can be live or asynchronous. VFT's often include some combination of live video, multimedia materials (including photos, images, videos, audio, etc.) and supporting documents and resources for the teacher.
Features
Virtual fieldtrips are cost-effective and flexible compared with traditional field trips. VFT's offer students opportunities to see places that are impractical or impossible to visit in person. The interactive features of many VFTÕs also enhance students' learning experiences.
